I’ve ordered from Matiki Island BBQ several times now, and they honestly never disappoint. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently good every single time. I always order the #6 with the short ribs, chicken, macaroni salad, and rice. Normally I get double macaroni salad because it’s hands down my favorite part of the meal. The macaroni salad is so good, perfectly cooked with that ideal al dente texture, creamy, flavorful, and well seasoned. I could honestly eat a whole bowl of just that. The short ribs are delicious too. Whatever marinade they use has amazing flavor and the meat is always tender and satisfying. The chicken itself is pretty simple and doesn’t have a super strong flavor, but it’s always cooked well and pairs nicely with everything else on the plate. Overall, it’s just good quality food all around. I usually order delivery, but this was my first time actually going inside for pickup. The restaurant had a really cool atmosphere and everything looked clean and organized. WHY WOULD YOU EVER EAT AT ONO AGAIN?? This is hands-down the best Hawaiian BBQ spot in town, and so good it's sure to reset your standards. The short ribs are mainly meat, the teriyaki sauce seems to be housemade, everything is cooked and seasoned to perfection, the musubi is *divine*, and the soft-serve Dole whip was the best way to wrap up an ideal meal. Loved this Hawaiian BBQ place! The beef ribs were super tender, big portions and the sauce was amazing - sweet, smoky, and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. Definitely coming back!

Matiki Island BBQ was absolutely delicious — a solid 5/5 in my book! The beef was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of flavor, cooked perfectly with that island-style touch that makes you want more. The menu has a great variety, and everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The restaurant stays busy with lots of to-go orders, which tells you how popular it is. Even with the rush, the staff were friendly and welcoming. I also noticed a lot of people grabbing the desserts, which looked so good — I’ll be trying one next time for sure. It’s a small restaurant, but don’t let that fool you — it delivers big flavor and has a big heart. Great food, good vibes, and definitely worth the visit. I’ll 100% be back and will be bringing friends and family with me!
